How long have you been around?

Houston Creative Media was founded as a company in 2016, but the artistic and technical skills required to produce the quality of work we do have been honed for over 20 years.

What awards have you won?

We won the 2018 Greek Event Awards Bronze Medal, a 2019 Lone Star Emmy, a 2020 Lone Star Emmy, and were recognized for Excellence in the 2021 Polly Bond Showcase for Excellence in Communication. We won the 2018 Greek Event Awards, Bronze Medal, based on our work's excellence and its impact on the regional community. We won the 2019 and 2020 Lone Star Emmys for a medical documentary (2019) and a nature documentary (2020).

Are you involved in professional organizations?

Yes. We’re members of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Lone Star Chapter) and the International Documentary Association (IDA). We work to promote the arts of video production and motion graphics in our professional association. We’re also judges for the Lone Star Emmys.

What’s your level of technical expertise?

We’re experts in motion graphics, cameras, videography, lighting, sound, and video editing. We have extensive experience working with the latest in computer software, hardware, and networking. We’ve never encountered a technical problem we can’t solve. We have an extensive I.T. background, and we leverage our expertise in information technology to solve complex problems quickly and in the most effective manner possible.

Do you film weddings?

Yes and no. We take wedding portraits and assemble them into a video slideshow for the happy couple, and we edit wedding footage provided to us. Still, we don’t shoot wedding videos at present.

What kind of photography can you do?

We can take outdoor portraits, quinceañera photos, headshots at your location, architectural photos, and landscape photos.

Do you do Virtual Reality (VR) / 360 videos?

Yes. We can shoot and edit 360-degree footage.

Do you shoot aerial footage or photos?

The answer is complicated, based largely on constantly changing regulations from the Federal Aviation Administration. We can legally shoot drone/aerial footage depending on the location, weather, and time of day. We adhere to all FAA regulations when it comes to aerial photography and videography.

Do you create tribute videos or slideshows?

Yes! One of the most rewarding things we do is to take our customers’ still images and create moving and inspirational films from them. We’ve created tribute videos for funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.

I have a song I want to use in my video. Can I use it?

It depends. We use music in videos for which we’ve obtained the copyright or which are copyright-free. If you own the copyright to your song, we can use it. If you don’t, we have access to a library of carefully curated music that is copyright-free and royalty-free for use in your videos.

I have a personal video project in mind I need to have done. Can you do it?

The short answer is probably yes. Depending on what you need, we can film your project or edit the video you provide to us (for example, the video you shot on your phone) and create a beautiful and artistic video you can share with your friends and family co-workers, and so on. The advantage of working with us is that we’re a small, nimble family-owned company. With our award-winning motion graphic skills, you also get the ‘wow!’ factor you can’t create independently. We provide high-tech, high-touch solutions at a very affordable rate.

I have a bunch of old photos that I need a slideshow for. Can you do it?

Yes. We retouch photos and can create a beautiful slideshow for your event or occasion.

Can you retouch photos?

Yes. We can retouch photos to make them more beautiful and visually appealing and remove unwanted things from your photos. We’re experts in Photoshop and Lightroom, Adobe’s flagship photo editing products.

What precautions do you take because of the COVID-19 Pandemic?

When we work on-site, we adhere to all laws, regulations, and guidelines from federal, state, and local health authorities.

How much do your services cost?

All production costs are based on the estimated time to produce each project. Costs vary depending on the work and time involved. We provide written estimates before work begins and have convenient payment options available. We bill either hourly or by project, depending on what makes sense.
